Fathers, let's model a life of prayer

If you're a dad like me, one of the goals you might have is to teach and model a life of prayer for your kids.  But have you noticed how hard it is?  Everything in our culture and in our nature tries to distract us from this pursuit.  If you're like me, you're busy ... you're selfish ... and you feel inadequate because your own prayer life is not where you want it to be. Here's a couple quotes that gave me hope and encouragement to teach and model a life of prayer for my kids:

John Bunyan said, "He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day."

Stuart Briscoe said, "When our children were small and we were trying to teach them to pray, we had three kinds of prayer: 'Please prayers,' 'Thank you prayers,' and 'Sorry prayers.'"
