Today my wife was taking a walk with our kids and overheard my oldest girl Emie asking Lily the following question: "Lily, did you know that your heart is really gross?" Jaime's ears perked up wondering if Emie was about to tell Lily all about her sinful heart and need for Jesus. But instead, Emie went on to say, "I saw it [a heart] at Kindergarten and it doesn't look like a real heart at all. It looks like a big, gross pink fist!" Don't you love it? It reminds me of a quote by Charles Spurgeon:
Learn from the Master's words that you are not to try to make the child like yourself, but you are to be transformed until you yourself are like the child.
