What is a Missional Community?

Whether your church does Sunday School Classes or Small Groups, I've found this idea of Missional Communities intriguing.  It seems the major difference is an intentional outward focus where life together moves out of the living room and into the neighborhood.  Very challenging. 

I like how Soma Communities defines this term "missional community":

WHAT IS A MISSIONAL COMMUNITY? 

A Missional Community consists of a committed core of believers (FAMILY) who live out the mission of God together (MISSIONARIES) in a specific area or to a particular people group by demonstrating the gospel in tangible forms (SERVANTS) and declaring the gospel to others—both those who believe it and those who are being exposed to it (LEARNERS).  Read the rest ...
