Don't Waste Your Summer

Do you find often find yourself distracted, paying attention to lots of things, but not focusing on what you want? We see this happen in the story of Mary and Martha, where Martha busies herself in the kitchen and becomes indignant when Mary sits at the feet of Jesus to simply be with him and listen to him. Jesus says that while serving is good, spending time with him is most important.

While going to church is good for you, the reason you should keep coming is for everyone else. The people around us are hurting more than we realize and the primary way that we can help each other is by simply listening to and encouraging each other. This can only happen when we are together, so let's not neglect gathering with each other this summer.
