Confession and Covenant

What happens when we honestly look at our lives and realize that God has been far more faithful to us than we have been to Him? Nehemiah 9 captures a powerful moment of confession and renewal as God’s people reflect on their history—from Abraham to the Exodus, Sinai, and the wilderness—and recognize a clear pattern: God is faithful, and His people are not. Yet the story is not defined by their failure, but by His mercy. This chapter shows that true renewal doesn’t begin with trying harder, but with honest confession, grateful worship, and renewed obedience. And ultimately, it points us to Jesus Christ—the final Deliverer—who fully deals with our sin and secures the mercy we need and long for.
